WoooHooo!!! I'm the first to post in the May thread. :)
If anyone has a Hancock's Fabrics near them they have all their Lion Brand yarn on sale for 50% off. I was a good girl and only spent $52 there today. LOL......
Does anyone else have the problem where you think you will let your store slide for awhile so you can focus on other things but then something happens and you want to start adding things to it? I know that sounds crazy but it's how I feel.
Oh and in other news because I don't think I have announced it on here yet, I found out recently that I'm expecting number 6 and am further along than I thought with a due date of 11/7. Can we say head is spinning?
Congrats on your sale Laura!! I think I only had 3 sales in April. Thankfully one was an $80 shawl.
I've been doing very well on my yarn diet.... until this week. Hobby Lobby has sock yarn on sale. I had to stop there to pick up a new chain for my daughter and picked up 2 small skeins and 2 large.
Herrschners has their wool blend marked way down so thought I'd try it to see how it compares to Wool Ease. With shipping and tax I think I spent $20.
I took a list with me to Hancock's so I wouldn't lose control. I only bought Wool Ease and only the colors I know are popular and I had less than 6 skeins of left in my stash.
I plan to put some destash in my rummage sale so that will hopefully will make up for what I acquired this week. :)
Debz, since you're the yarn expert, well, yarn a holic (or whatever) do you know of any place where I can find this sock yarn for less than $20 for 100 g?
It's called Trekking Pro Natura by Zitron? I only found it online and e-bay isn't much cheaper at $18, but then you have to bid on it and shipping...so I'd rather buy it from the source.
Just wondering...anyone else knows where to find it for less? other than just searching the Internet?
I looked at the yarn when you posted about it, Doris. I didn't see it any cheaper but I would think there's some comparable brand of wool/bamboo sock yarn cheaper. IOf course Zitron is going to say they're the best. It doesn't mean they actually are. :)
Just got caught up on the new May thread. Congrats on sales and new baby news! How terrific.
I don't need to go to yarn stores -- my DIL in Iowa used to do needlework & plastic canvas and is now into quilting completely, so won't go back to yarn projects. She's having a garage sale tomorrow (I won't be there for a week), but wrote and asked me if I wanted any of her yarn, etc. I told her I'd take ALL her yarn, and any other craft related items she wants to get rid of -- all SOLD TO ME. So I'll have that to pick up when I arrive next week. :-).
Meanwhile, I left Arkansas yesterday and drove up to St. Louis and am here for 6 days with my daughter & SIL. Having a lovely time. On to Iowa next Wed.
