I just finished up the first six pillow order this evening and managed to lose my needle for sewing on the labels between the fifth and sixth label. I checked everywhere----my clothes, the couch (found a straight pin there), the floor. I think I will be doing a thorough vacuuming tomorrow so no one ends up stepping on it or sitting on it.
By the time I catch up with October orders, November will be over, so I don't think November will be a big month for me. I am trying to work extra on the letter pillow orders during the day when I can in hopes of at least adding a couple items to my shop before Thanksgiving. I remember doing fairly well for a couple weeks after Thanksgiving last year and hope to sell some of my already made items then after it is too late for custom orders for Christmas.
I am so angry!! I had a customer purchase a pattern with an eCheck in my eCrater store. I emailed her right away and explained that I would email her pattern to her when they let me know her check had cleared. Yesterday it cleared and I got an email from the woman around 4:00 asking where her pattern was. I was at work and got home around 6:30 and emailed her pattern to her explaining that it may take up to 48 hours after receiving cleared payment for me to send the pattern (which is also clearly stated in the item description!) - standard practice right? She left me negative feedback, and it must have been in the 2 1/2 hours before I could email her. Sometimes people suck! :(
Julie, I had a similar incident happen to me.
Someone had purchased a pattern, I emailed it, then less than 24 hours after the original purchase (and remember, I had already SENT the pattern), he filed a claim with paypal! Then emailed me, being a little snarky that they did not receive a download link.
I very politely emailed him back that I had sent the pattern to the email address he specified for his wife, and that I was resending to that same address. If she didn't receive it, to check her bulk folder...
He did receive the pattern, but the paypal claim stayed open until I politely contacted him and asked him that since his wife had received the pattern, if he would be kind enough to close the dispute, which he did.
I was REALLY hoping they didn't return for more patterns later.
I'm sorry about your negative feedback, I'm not familiar with eCrater, are you allowed to do a rebuttal on the feedback like ebay has...or used to have...I haven't listed anything there since they changed their policies on digital downloads and feedback. This is one reason I think having that ability is a good thing, and would be nice to see on Etsy. Not to be rude back at them, but just to give your side.
