Yep, I knew it...I went to see one of my neighbors yesterday ... she was on Farmtown...it's an epidemic, I tell you...and for that reason I will not go on there, just in case my suspicion is true about the subliminal messages that hypnotize everyone to Farmtown...

I'd best stop taling anti-Farmtown or else the Farmtown people will come after me with pitch forks....he, he, he!!!

Have fun sewing and plowing and raking....I'm going for a walk!

Hi Doris....just came from Farmtown..and have to tell you how much I enjoy that game. Not only the game but since I got to the highest level in less than 2 weeks I now go on to chat with all the neighbors I made while playing the game. I have a neighbor from Australia, 2 from CA, 1 from TN, 1 from MN, 3 from MI, 3 from OH, 1 from Nova Scotia, 6 from FL and 3 of these are our very own Hookers!!! and many more as I now have 33 neighbors. Now I actually go on to talk with them as there is no challenge to the game any more but I still plant high dollar crops so I can hire my neighbors to help them get to level 34. You really should try it....ALSO I have had 3 of my neighbors buy items from my Etsy shops...what better advertising then to have your shop connected to Facebook and every new item you post is posted on facebook and all your friends can see them.

OH and BTW when I went for my eye exam last month I found my Eye Dr. who is a surgeon plays Farmtown, along with my cableman, my mailman and many other people I have met since I have joined Facebook. I am not a blogger nor am I an animal lover or a reader so this gives me something to fill in those hours when your alone and want something to do. I am sure you are just kidding about farmtown...at least I hope you are ....and I have never paid a cent for coins or experience nor has anyone that I know done that. Just had to throw that in.....LOL come be my neighbor! Try it...you may like it!!!! I wish I could have Obama as a neighbor would interesting to chat with him.

Hi Nora,

I've heard from everyone who plays it how much fun it is, but I know myself and I know how easily I get "stuck" on the computer. I'm in the process of cutting down on computer time, especially since I found a couple of like-minded friends (finally, after living here for over 5 years) with whom to do things with, so I'm really excited about that - they're two elderly sisters, but they do crafts and play several instruments each, one teaches music, and are very much into life and educated and we enjoy each others company. We have tea and it is all so new and exciting, so for now, I don't have time for much game playing.

A long time ago, I used to play a game on my computer that was called Alice Greenfingers, I think, and I had to be Alice and plant my crops and harvest them and take them to the Market and buy stuff for my garden and buy livestock and things and I enjoyed it - and played it too long, but it wasn't interactive, so I can imagine how much more fun Farmtown must be...but for now, I'm enjoying my real life friends, since I've not had any for a long time that actually had "time" to spend with me. Everyone's always so "busy" and they call you "friend" yet never come and visit and I think that is so sad.

You enjoy and I'm glad you're finding customers. It's a great way to network, I'm sure, but I don't have much hope for selling anything...I guess it's not in the cards for me, because no matter what I do, I just don't sell and I'm kind of giving up on that...my stuff just isn't popular. So, guess what everyone's getting for Christmas this year? (ha, ha, ha) yep, either handmade or nothing, because this ole gal is broke!

Yeah, wouldn't it be a blast to see Obama on Farmtown, but if he were, I'm sure you'd never know it....

Have a great day everyone...Happy October 1st...and remember to please spread the word about my Pet Costume Contest on my blog! Since I can't sell my stuff, I thought I'd give it away ;-)

It's okay Nora, I just don't know what all to put in the start of a new month's thread.

I'm looking for critiques for my new listings: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31849168 I feel like it's missing something either in the pictures or description or tags. Anyone care to help?

Liz I love your shawl...capelet...It is awesome to do things like that. I make all those Chemo Caps and donated a bunch to our local hospital. Makes you feel so good! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Nora. Maybe I should add capelet as a tag? I'm hoping to add more to my think pink section this month.

Good morning to Nora and all the Etsyhookers -- and welcome to October... the month of baseball playoffs and the World Series..... Well, ya gotta know your priorities :-).... LoL. From other remarks I've made in the past, you already know I'm 'crazy about baseball' .... or maybe that's just 'crazy'....

Last Farmers Market this afternoon, then the big craft fair on Saturday - our Fall Harvest Festival. Have made lots of extras to take - Halloween related and otherwise. Have listed a few new things in my shop, but will save most listings until after the festival. Need to build up my shop for the upcoming holidays, but seems silly to list what might be sold this week, so will wait until next week to really get busy with new listings. Seems as if all I've done is crochet of late (while watching baseball, of course).

Have a great day all and may October bring you lots of sales.

I guess I need to pay attention to who is in the baseball playoffs when I make some more baseball cozies. Although it does not seem that it matters how well the team does in terms of whether I sell the particular one I make quickly or not so fast.

Right, Laura. Fans follow their favorite teams win or lose --- just look at the loyal Cubs fans - over 100 years without a World Series Win and only occasionally even to the playoffs, and they pack Wiggly Field every game!

BUT, before I do, can I invite you all to enter my pet costume contest on my blog?

It's open to everyone and you can enter as many pets as you want. Winner gets to pick $15 worth of stuff from my shop and I will pay for standard shipping.

Please spread the word....
