Navigating Around the Ning Site
Here are a few things to help you get started and to navigate this site.
Easily go to any page by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page (Main, My Page, Members, Forum, Gadgets, Groups, FAQ, Chat, Photos)
My Page is where you’ll add your own content. You can change the appearance of your page, start a blog, and see your latest activity. You can also add your Etsy mini to the text box on your page. To do this:
1. Login to your Etsy shop, click on Your Etsy at the top, and scroll down.
2. On the bottom left side of the screen, click on Etsy Mini.
3. Choose your options (Thumbnails and 5 columns wide works best).
4. Right click in the “Copy this code for the Flash version” box and choose copy.
5. Go to your My Page, click on the text box edit button. Right click in the text box and choose paste to add the code.
6. Click save.
Your Etsy mini will be up and running.
If you want to add a title or if you’ve made a mistake, you can always click the edit box and make changes. Just make sure to click save when you’re done.
Go to the Photos tab and choose add photos to upload pictures from your computer. Or you can also upload them from your Flickr account, if you have one.
To do this:
1. Click on the Photos tab at the top of the page.
2. Click on the “add photos” link at the top of the page.
3. To the right of this box there is an add photos link from Flickr. Click on that and sign in to your Flickr account.
4. Select the options for the photos you want to upload (most recent, tagged, all) and you can select if you want the descriptions added also.
5. Click the “Get Photos” button and your photos will upload. That’s it and you’re done!
We do have an EtsyHookers group on Flickr and here’s the link:

Just click on the “Join this Group?” link at the top of the page to join.
And I’ve also added an “Etsy Hookers Flickr Photo’s” box on the main page (click the “main” tab at the top of the page to get there, and it’s on the bottom right side).
Forums is where you’ll find all the latest and greatest info including: site changes and updates, member introductions, promotional links, treasuries, shop help, and much, much, more. Please note that there are currently 2 pages to the forums. All forum discussions are separated into categories, and you can click on any category name in the upper left hand box to be taken directly to those discussions.
Here’s a few forum tips for you:
When starting a new discussion, please choose the correct category from the drop down menu.
When sharing a treasury (or several treasuries) that you have created, please start a new discussion. Don’t reply to someone else’s discussion. This will get your treasury more views and will make it easier for me to remove expired ones.
FAQ is where to go when you have questions about the EtsyHookers team, important info for all members, EtsyHookers links, and navigating on the Ning site.
Chat - This chat feature is open to all members. Feel free to use the chat room anytime you wish. We may also hold meetings there.
Messages - At the top right of the screen, under your name, you will see a box with an envelope in it. When someone sends you a message the envelope will be colored and shows New!. Click on the envelope to open your message center to read and reply to messages. You can also easily send any member a message. Click on the link “Send a Private Message” that’s next to their avatar. You will also find a “Send Message” link in every members profile page.
Friend Requests - When someone sends you a friend request, the person button (found next to the envelope at the top of the screen) will be colored when you have new requests. Click on the button to see and accept them. When you accept a request, the other members avatar will show on your “My Page”. It’s simple to request friends too. Just click on the “Add as friend” link and your request will be sent to that member.
