What is your favourite thing about crocheting?

My favorite thing about crocheting is that I never get bored! There are always new stitches and techniques to learn, patterns that I want to try, and enough designs floating around in my head to keep me busy for years. I also get a great feeling of accomplishment when I've finished a project.

Crocheting with Twine - Mini Baskets, New Items and Patterns

I like to experiment crocheting with new materials and my latest is 100% natural jute twine. Twine is fun to work with and, of course, much different than working with yarn. It’s very rough on the hands . . . (read more)

Busy Bee and Ladybug - Catch the Reading Bug, Felted Crochet

It all started with an idea from my boss at the library where I work. She suggested I should make something as prizes for our summer reading program. The theme this year is “Catch the Reading Bug” so what better something to make than a bug? (read more)

The Egg Came Before the Chicken!

As least in my case, lol! I’ve been working on a set of amigurumi chickens that I haven’t finished yet and in the meantime I came up with the idea for a fried egg potholder. It’s a cute potholder that has a bit of country charm to it. (read more)

Have you ever Googled your shop?

I Google my shop name every now and then just to see what comes up, and imagine my surprise today when I found myself mentioned in Wikipedia =) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Berry That was so much fun to see! Hmm, now if I could only get them to add a link to my shop . . .

Hi Julie! Just stopping by to say how much I've enjoyed this group since joining. It's so much fun to see what my kindred spirits have been creating. I got my mother to join some time back, althought she does not have a shop, she gives me things that I list in my etsy shop. Her page is under the name Sadie. She mentioned to me some time last week that you had sent her an e-mail asking for the url number of her shop and I told her that I would let you know that you work out of my shop. I hope that's not a problem. Please let me know if it is.
